Bird removal in Media and nearby towns
Bird Removal in Media, PA
Birds nesting in dryer vents, fan vents, chimneys and gutters.

What you are dealing with
What you can see is usually part of it.
Starlings and house sparrows build nests in dryer vents, bathroom and kitchen fan vents, gaps in the soffit and the tops of chimneys. A nest in a dryer vent blocks the air and is a fire risk.
We take the bird and the nest out, clear the opening, and fit a cover or screen made for that vent so they cannot nest there again.
Any of these help us work out what is in there.
- Chirping or scratching inside a vent
- Twigs or grass sticking out of a vent or a gutter
- Birds going in and out of the same gap
- The dryer taking longer to dry, or the laundry room getting hot
- A bird trapped in the chimney or the fireplace

What happens next
How the job runs.
Check the nest
We look at what kind of bird it is and whether there are eggs or young.
Take it out
We remove the bird and the nest and clear the vent. Many wild birds are protected by law, and if one is, we tell you what has to wait.
Cover the opening
We fit a vent cover, a screen or a chimney cap so they cannot get back in.
Price and timing
What changes the price.
Most birds nest from spring into summer. If a protected bird has an active nest, the work may have to wait until the young leave, and we will tell you.
- How many vents or openings
- How high they are
- Whether the vent pipe needs clearing
- The covers or caps needed
Questions people ask
What to know about bird removal.
Can you remove any bird?
Not always. Many wild birds and their active nests are protected by law. Starlings, house sparrows and pigeons are not, and they are most of the birds we find in vents.
There is a bird in my chimney. What do I do?
Close the fireplace doors or the damper so it cannot get into the room, keep pets away and call us.
How do I stop birds nesting in my vents?
A cover made for the vent lets air out and keeps birds out. We fit one once the nest is gone.
